Setu Auto Dialer

The Setu Auto Dialer is a micro-controller based Stand-alone Unit that interfaces the Fax machine to the FS&F (Fax Store and Forward) Server. The Auto Dialer obviates the chore of dialing the Server number, dialing the User ID and Password and then dialing the destination number, every time a user wants to send a Fax through the FS&F service.

The advantages of using an Auto Dialer are:
  • Complete Transparency of the service to the user.
  • Minimum User training for using the Service.
  • Secure usage of the account.
  • Simplified usage of special functions offered by the Server.

The Auto Dialer unit is based on a 8031 micro-controller. It has 32KB Eprom, 128 byte RAM and 512 Byte Eeprom space. The unit has a DTMF Transceiver and this is coupled to the incoming line with a standard
DAA. Pulse dialing is achieved through a telecom grade relay. Off-Hook detection is available. The system runs on a regulated power supply derived from a Power transformer built in to the system, which runs Off
230 V mains.
