1.
Connect the handset to SetuPhone with handset cord.
2.
Plug one end of telephone cable (RJ-11) into the LINE port on the
rear panel of SetuPhone and the other end into a working telephone
wall jack.
3.
Plug the AC power adaptor provided into an AC outlet and insert
the power cord into the connector marked "AC" on the rear panel
of the SetuPhone.
4.
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone that indicates the
SetuPhone has been installed properly. If you do not hear a dial
tone, check that the power adaptor is plugged into a live electrical
outlet and that the power cord is pushed securely into the connector.
5.
Now SetuPhone is ready for basic configuration.
SetuPhone
Modem IP Phone quick configuration
1.For
configuring of SetuPhone, press *123* and terminate by a # button
2.
You will be asked for a password. Enter the password. (Default password
is 12345)
3.
If wrong password is entered, the phone will prompt that the password
is incorrect and will ask the user to enter again
4.
If password is correct, phone will prompt the main menu.
5.
Press 1 if you want to configure the ISP parameters, 2 for calling
card parameters, 3 for extended menu, 4 for listening to configured
parameters, 5 to save and quit. ISP information
6.
If you press 1 at the main menu, the phone will prompt "ISP Phone
Number is xxxxx. Press '1' to edit '2' to skip"
7.
Press '1' to edit the ISP phone number. If you press '1', the phone
will prompt, "Please enter the ISP Phone Number and terminate by
a # button" Now enter the ISP Phone Number using the keypad. After
you finish entering the parameter, press # button.
8.
The phone will prompt, "You entered xxxxx. Press '1' to accept,
'2' to re-enter" Press '1' to accept the parameter, or if you want
to re-enter, press '2' .By pressing '2' we go back to step 7.
9.
Once you accept the ISP phone number, the phone will prompt with
the ISP Username. "The ISP Username is xxxx. Press '1' to edit,
'2' to skip". Follow the same procedure as that for ISP Phone Number
10.
Once you change or skip the ISP username, phone will prompt, "The
ISP password is xxxxx. Press '1' to edit '2' to skip". Again, follow
the same procedure as that for ISP Phone Number. After the ISP password
is configured, the phone will play main menu again
Keep
in mind : You can't enter the special characters or alphabets
while entering the ISP Phone Number. Those modes are disabled for
ISP Phone Number entry.
Calling
card Information
11.
On pressing '2' at the main menu(Password- setu), the phone will
prompt, "calling card userID is xxxx. Press '1' to edit, '2' to
skip" Press '1' if the userID is to be changed, else press '2' to
skip to the next parameter.

If '1' is pressed, the phone will prompt, "Please enter the calling
card userID and terminate by a # button" Now enter the calling card
userID using the keypad. After you finish entering the parameter,
terminate by a # button

The Phone will prompt, "You entered xxxx. Press '1' to accept, '2'
to re-enter" Press '1' for accepting the parameter, or '2' for re-entering
the same.
14.
After the calling card user ID is configured, the phone will prompt,
"The calling card Password is xxxx. Press '1' to edit, '2' to skip"
Configure this as same as that for calling card user ID.
15.
After this the phone will prompt for VoIP server address, "VoIP
server address is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx press '1' to edit, '2' to skip"
Press '1' to change the server address. If the value entered is
improper IP address, the phone will prompt with "The parameter you
have entered is incorrect, Press '1' to edit, '2' to skip". After
the server address is configured, the phone plays the main menu.
Extended
configuration
16.
Pressing '3' at the main menu, phone plays the extended configuration
menu.
17.
In this menu, the user can change the configuration password, software
upgrade server address , country, language, service provider.
18.
Press '1' to change the configuration password. The phone will prompt,
"The configuration password is xxxx. Press '1' to edit '2' to skip"
Press '1' to change the configuration password, or '2' to go back
to the extended menu.

Similarly you can configure the other parameters in the extended
menu.

Press '4' at main menu for listening to the configured parameters
Save
and Exit
21.
You have to press '5' at the main menu to save the configured parameters.
If power goes off during configuration or you exit the configuration,
the changed parameters will not be saved onto the flash.
Entering
information through keypad
1.
For
entering a digit, press the digit key once
2.
For entering an alphabet, press the digit keys more than once within
short interval. If you press the key 2 times, the first alphabet
marked on the key will be accepted as input.
For
ex: Digit key 2 has three alphabets on it. (a,b,c) If 2 is pressed
twice the phone will accept the input as 'a'. If digit key '2' is
pressed thrice, 'b' is accepted. If 2 is pressed four times, 'c'
is accepted. If any key is pressed more number of times, the last
alphabet will be accepted.
The
alphabets, by default will be in lowercase.

For entering in uppercase, the shift button has to be switched ON
and then the alphabet has to be entered.
4.
For entering special characters, press the Dial up button and then
the corresponding digit key. For backspace press dial up button
and then digit key '0', for '@' press dial up button and then digit
key '1' and so on. The keys 2 to 8 correspond to '.', '-','_','$','&','/',':'
respectively.

Note:
Backspace can be used to delete the unwanted character. It will
delete the last entered character.
Examples:
